Anyone have a good version (or at least one they like) of By My Side from Godspell? It's been stuck in my head for two days and any recordings I can find sound like crap or I hate the singers.
I don't even like the "official" version. When my community theater group did it, they did it slower, the folksyness wasn't as strong, and the need and sorrow and love was so much clearer in the timing. The official version seems to rush or oddly syncopate.
remind me when im home later tonite. just ping me. i should have 2 different versions of it. one from the original cast album and one from the 2000 cast album. both beautiful.
