Dress frustration

Okay, looks like this dress has soaked up all the dye it ever will, especially after three different kinds of dye. And it's a better color than it was - dusky pink is INFINITELY better than lavender. Plus, it gives me the option to swap out to white roses/freesia on my hairclip/bustle accent. It wouldn't take a lot of effort, as they're pop-on, pop-off. Plus, white would look better with pearls. And I could even wear my cyberfalls with it sometime.

Also, it would be totally fitting for my character to wear this demure, modest dress with a bright red corset peeking out from underneath xD And it'd be perfect with a red garter.

All in all, I'm settling for the "this is an awesome dress, but it's not the *red seductress dress* I wanted." The seductress dress should be slinkier, anyway. Maybe I'll wait for red satin to go on sale and buy a pattern and make the damn thing myself.

Mostly white flowers/white patterns with the occasional red flower might look nice

I don't see the option in the poll for "these words are utterly meaningless to me."

Bearing that in mind, I'd say go with whatever seems like it would be most fun to you.

I like the red flowers/red corset idea. :) Kinda like your character's mom got her a 'nice dress' to wear to the party, and she had to jazz it up to make it acceptable. ;) (But then again, it's early and I'm easily amused. :)

IMO, scouring ebay for a red silk/satin seductress dress might be more fun than fighting with satin. But hey! :)

It might pair well with something dark, like a saturated blue, a brown, or a grey.

Do you have photos of the dress anywhere?

Slinky it is not, but the dress I wore for Elanthia is here (http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?DeptID=50434&CatID=68312&GrpTyp=SIZ&ItemID=157cca1&attrtype=&attrvalue=&CMID=50434|50444&Fltr=&Srt=&QL=F&IND=27&cmVirtualCat=&CmCatId=50434|50444|68312). I recall the red being a little brighter than it appears in the web site's picture.

Anyway, sexy red touches to the existing dress sound like a good idea.

Also: I didn't do anything special with the shawl that goes with that JC Penney dress, but I'm betting you could rig a very nice bow/bustle out of it!
