Anyway, I think of you as one of the people on this earth that everyone would count lucky to have as a friend. Even though we don't hang out as much as I'd like, I always get the sense like there wasn't any distance at all. It makes me ridiculously comfortable hanging around you. I also get the impression that you're the kind of friend who would drop what he's doing and give someone the shirt off his back, and that's something I really admire.

Insecure because I don't know what people are going to say and it would suck to have someone I really care about reply with "I like you because you're really nice."

Basically, I'm not sure that I want to know, but my innate curiosity and need to be praised overcome my reticence.

And thank you. Your response makes me smile. It's almost* exactly how I'd like to be seen by others.

*it would be perfect if it also included the words "breathtakingly sexy".

Not that there's anything wrong with being seen as "really nice", it's just the equivalent of signing a yearbook "have fun this summer".

When I did this in December, I tried to come up with things that were interesting and unique to those that commented. If I don't know the person that well, well maybe I can make them laugh. That's not always easy to do, but I think I managed it.

Just for the hell of it, I'm going to tell you something randomly nice as well. :)

Whenever I see you, you're really happy to see just people, and you'll engage anyone in conversation if they come up to you. That's something that's really awesome to see and gives people (or at least me) the sense that you can be indiscriminately kind. I think that that kind of social ease is enviable and something that makes people want to be around you. =)

Being thought of as indiscriminately kind is something I definitely aspire to. I think that everyone deserves affirmation and love of as many kinds as can be comfortably given.
