Why does it make you insecure?

Anyway, I think of you as one of the people on this earth that everyone would count lucky to have as a friend. Even though we don't hang out as much as I'd like, I always get the sense like there wasn't any distance at all. It makes me ridiculously comfortable hanging around you. I also get the impression that you're the kind of friend who would drop what he's doing and give someone the shirt off his back, and that's something I really admire.

Insecure because I don't know what people are going to say and it would suck to have someone I really care about reply with "I like you because you're really nice."

Basically, I'm not sure that I want to know, but my innate curiosity and need to be praised overcome my reticence.

And thank you. Your response makes me smile. It's almost* exactly how I'd like to be seen by others.

*it would be perfect if it also included the words "breathtakingly sexy".

Not that there's anything wrong with being seen as "really nice", it's just the equivalent of signing a yearbook "have fun this summer".

When I did this in December, I tried to come up with things that were interesting and unique to those that commented. If I don't know the person that well, well maybe I can make them laugh. That's not always easy to do, but I think I managed it.

Just for the hell of it, I'm going to tell you something randomly nice as well. :)
