Moving!

Looks like we'll be moving in two phases:

PHASE 1: Friday!

JET orientation from 12-3. Home by 4, which is when the exodus to Goodwill will commence. If time permits, maybe a run of stuff to the house in Warwick. Move all "keep" boxes to landing to prep for...

PHASE 2: Saturday!
After dropping [livejournal.com profile] elenuial at the airport (!!!) move the last of the stuff and the three pieces of furniture to the house in RI. Along with the pup.

So, anyone available on Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday afternoon just to lend a hand would be greatly appreciated. And bribed.

There shouldn't be much to move, as we'll have gotten rid of most of our stuff, but still. Help seriously appreciated.

About to go even more internet-less until Thursday night. Likely won't have access to e-mail.

BUT I WILL BE AT A SUMMER HOUSE IN MYRTLE BEACH SO IT'S OKAY

[livejournal.com profile] elenuial and I got legally married this weekend in a larp. Pictures to come, but getting that out of the way takes a lot of stress out of wedding planning for me.

No matter what happens from now to May 8th, we're married. Suck on that, anxiety attacks.

Moved off the waitlist this morning ftw!

Anyone still need space for Arisia? [livejournal.com profile] elenuial and I find ourselves with an extra bed, so space for two. Or three, if needed.

Let us know!
hazliya: (Default)
Seriously, I have a huge pile of extra fleece. Anywhere from scraps to half a yard to full yards, in some cases. I also have scraps of a black leather jacket and black faux fur.

In fact, I have a lot of fabric I want to get rid of.

Want some? Be in Worcester when I have free time and it's yours. Comment for details.

We really need players for Martha Stewart's Guide on the Friday of SLAW (the 19th). We haven't cast yet. If you, or anyone you know, has that friday free and wants a good time, let us know! Either gender is fine, as is repeat players. Seriously, we need five more players to be at the minimum for the game.

There will be cookies and punch. And love for you.

Signal boosts greatly appreciated.

So, [livejournal.com profile] elenuial and I are looking for roomies for Intercon K. Preferably for the Thursday Thing, too.

Anyone looking?
hazliya: (Default)
So, Martha's is running again at SLAW, despite my huge reservations on the idea. For one, I think it's run too many times in so short a period. Two, a lot of people who would enjoy the game have already played, and three, while it is newbie-friendly, it's not nearly interesting enough to grab a lot of new people's attention. But I was asked to run it, and it's minimal setup, so eh. It's out of my hands now.

This got me to thinking. The game is only half full. And there have been a few people expressing the desire to play again, either as their old character or a new one.

Therefore, if we still have space in the game as of 11/1 (giving me three weeks to get out questionnaires and do casting), I'm opening it to people who have played before and want to play again. Whatever that means is up to you, but if you want to, there's an option for you.

EDIT: Oops, website is here.

So, the Scituate Art Festival is this weekend! We're going on Sunday, and headed out of Worcester. Who wants to come with?

I love this thing. It's always, always sunny the day of the Scituate Art Fest. <3

Open spots, as of this moment: 6M, 2F.

Not bad for having opened signups yesterday.

So, despite schedule conflicts of RPI's larp weekend and weddings around it, it seems like 10/23 is the date winner for re-running Leash.

It can take 30 people. Ideally, I would like it to have all 30. But if people are going to be at the RPI weekend, I might be screwed for players. We'll see, and if the game fills, we won't need to reschedule. =/

I can take 16 M and 14 F.

Signal boost greatly appreciated. =)

EDIT: Nope, date fail. Something else is already running that day. I think I need to do this the 17th.

Apparently, Ilsa/Elsa's brother is now available, as the person with a claim on him moved their deposit to the next litter.

He has excellent breeding and is adorable as sin. He can come home around the 24th.

There is a list of people who've been interested in the pups, but no guarantees anyone will take him. If anyone's interested, I'd be happy to put you in touch.
hazliya: (ghost dog)
... Might be moving to Japan for 1-3 years. Looks very likely. Dog is welcome to come along.

Holy crap.

More details later.

Lab coat?

hazliya: (Default)
Does anyone have need of a small women's labcoat, full length? I can get it for $5, if someone wants to buy it from me at Vestival.

We find ourselves with two free rooms, provided we can find roommates. =)

The apartments in question are on Dover street, one each on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Both have hardwood floors, big bay windows, and the second floor will be getting a new boiler. The third floor has a brand-new heating system, and all floors have recently gotten new windows. The bathrooms were recently re-done to have oval mirrors and cabinets and whatnot, and there's a separate pantry from the kitchen. And front porches. And laundry in the basement.

If you're living on the third floor, you will have access to a puppy come July. Said puppy will be doing a lot of obedience training for trials later on, and will not be barking. No puppies on second floor.

Move-in is June 1, and rent is $350.

If interested, email me at hazharrower at gmail, or message me here. We need to know ASAP otherwise the deal's off. =/

Feel free to point non-lj people in my direction.

I know everyone's plugged this a million times, but seriously. Vestival. Two weeks. Awesome games.

Now, the main highlight of this plug: [livejournal.com profile] elenuial is writing a game, and I am helping. It is going to be complete and total hilarity. Short character sheets, LOTS and LOTS OF ACTING.

We have six spots open, and we really, really want to see those characters filled. They're awesome, and ones that pretty much anybody could have fun with.

It's the Lady Gaga Had a Drunken Threesome with William Gibson and a Microwave Oven Game.

If you have ever wanted to be part of a boy band, act like Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton, consider becoming Amish except you're on Rumspringa, talk like Ryan Seacrest, or act competitively ridiculous for attention and money, wish granted.

Play in it. It'll be freaking hilarious.

Housing?

Anyone on my f-list looking to live in Worcester? [livejournal.com profile] elenuial find ourselves with a spare room we need to find someone for.

Comment or ping me if interested.
hazliya: (Default)
I am helping write/run a game at Vestival. It is [livejournal.com profile] elenuial's idea, I'm just... helping if I can.

Post Future Pop Diva Fashion Show & Silent Auction.

Sunday.

PLAY IN IT.

IT'S NOT WRITTEN YET.
hazliya: (tango)
There's a valentine's milonga tomorrow night for all the dancers in the audience. Or even the non-dancers; lessons are included.

Live tango band, people. Live.

From the Facebook event:

"Doors open at 7:30PM for you to come and get your legs stretched out and say hello to all your friends. A beginner Argentine Tango lesson by Tango Pulse commences at 8 and goes until 9, a perfect opportunity to learn some new moves and meet new people!

The DJ from tango pulse will kick it off at 9 to get everybody warmed up for the live band! Mandragora Tango will give you an experience that can only be had from dancing the tango to live music played by skilled muscians.

Admission is free for WPI Undergradutes, $10 for all other students and $20 for the general public.

Donations are greatly appreciated and all proceeds from this event will be going directly toward the benefit of Abby's Empowerment Fund, a Worcester and Central Massachusetts organization designed to support homeless women and children.

For more information, contact Prof. Hossein Hakim at hakim@wpi.edu or (508) 831-5347"

I'm so rocking this. Seriously. This is one of the highlights of my year.

Now to figure out what I'm wearing to the damn thing...
hazliya: (solarblue)
I'm about to fly out to VA for a week. I will be nigh-unreachable by twitter, LJ, or the conventional media, as I'll be checking my email only once every few days. Phone is still OK, though L-burg is a reception sinkhole. Roommates will be checking on scaled babies.

See y'all later. I'm going somewhere twenty degrees warmer.
