From Facebook:

My status: The surface of my eye is scratched and man, does it sting. Though the scratch is shaped *exactly* like Harry Potter's scar.
- Meghan W*: did voldemort try to kill you?
- Me: @Meghan W* If so, then Voldemort is 6 pounds and has his head stuck in an empty peanut butter jar.

EDIT: And from twitter:
breakinglight11: @hazliya You're totally a dark wizard's horcrux now.
hazliya: @breakinglight11 Peanut Butter Horcrux is my punk band name.

Just a random question I'm interested in, as I just got off the elevator at work.

Do you guys greet the people you ride in an elevator with? Like "hello" when you get on and "have a good one" when you step off? Does it depend on the number of people? Number of floors?

My phone alerts me to the fact that I have a message. I check my phone.

E: Baby, who is the man?

...

H: Shaft?

E: And what kind of man is he?

H: A complicated man.

E: And who understands him?

H: No one but his woman.

My inbox, ladies and gentlemen.

Wow.

On the subject of cities to move to, between myself and [livejournal.com profile] elenuial. We've gone from San Francisco to New York to Anchorage (where he would bring a club for the baby seals, very important later on) to Seattle to:

"I could move to Mexico city. Standards of living are lower."
"Yes. Yes, they are."
"I could take my savings and live like a king!"
"Except that you don't speak spanish. Only I speak spanish."
"That is why it is essential that you be my queen."
"Worst marriage proposal ever."
"I still have my club."
"Second worst marriage proposal ever."

xD Love.

Whoa.

So, along my spree of hair risks in the last few months...

I now have bangs.

And not just any bangs!

Punk girl bangs. Full and tapered, like Bettie Page's.

I love them.

EDIT: Here's a picture I just grabbed. Please excuse the lack of makeup.

What do you guys think of them? Yes? No?

They're growing on me the more I look at them. =)

That gown I'm tailoring for Tis no Deceit?

It has pockets hidden in the pleats.

Win!

- [livejournal.com profile] elenuial's EEE seems to be running okay! =D

- Anyone want to go shopping with me tomorrow at Kohl's in the afternoon? I get out of work 1:30ish, and have coupons for 15% off entire purchase.

- You ever see one of those little girls that you know are going to grow up to be gorgeous? I saw one today. Eight years old, slender, big almond eyes framed by huge lashes and long, sideswept brown hair. She looked almost native american in features, and was well-spoken. I found it hard not to stare.

Those ponytail hair-boingies are awesome. Do the makers have a website or something?

What do y'all think of handwritten letters?
hazliya: (Default)
- I have come into possession of cute stationery. Perhaps I should get into handwritten letters? There's something romantic about that.

- I made friends with a seven-month old spaniel named Winston today. When I asked if I could pet him, the owner hesitated, saying that he didn't really like people, but that I could try. So I knelt down and he trotted over. Then let me scratch him. They let me tousle him. Then, as we were playing a bit, he backed up and dropped into an unmistakable bow. His owner proceeded to nearly lose his shit, explaining that his dog never bowed to humans. Winston bowed again, and asked me to play. So I played a little, and the owner stared at me like I was made of magic before asking me if I had a card. I did. Winston barked for my attention and let me stretch out his cheeks, prompting his owner to freak out again. It made me happy.

- I have a few friends to whom I can say "You know, you're pretty freaking awesome" and not have them think that I'm hitting on them. It's rather cool to know.

- I'm going to be shooting models in Boston during the day on Friday, probably hitting up Xmortis that night. Models should be done by 5ish, and I want an evening model. If I get one, I won't want to drive home for 8 to be back in boston by 9. Anyone got anything to occupy my time that night?

Um, what?

So, I noticed this a few days ago, but never thought to ask.

Since when is there something in Worcester that looks suspiciously like a great big wind turbine?

So, as I usually do when [livejournal.com profile] elenuial's away, I've been keeping busy so that I don't stew in the fact that I miss him. And having been in the Princess Bride, I've opened up a new circle of friends I never knew I had.

So, a group of us went to Green Hill Park yesterday (after a hysterical 5pm run to chopper and subsequent attacking my place as a prep station) for a picnic. I was laughing almost the entire time, with pauses to play with passing dogs. (I spotted an Elkhound and gushed about them with the owner, who was happy that someone knew the breed!)

After eating massive amounts of food, we explored some, finding big rocky structures ("It's from when the Druids were here." "Right. Stupid Druids, always leaving around stone crap.") and generally messing about. The high point for me was when we all decided to roll down an enormous hill together, marveling at the places everyone ended up. Though one of the best parts was lying on our backs, covered in hay, watching the clouds go by. It was such a nice, relaxing feeling.

I can't remember the last time I just... rolled down a grassy hill. It's so simple, but so rewarding.

I think I'm going to have a lot of fun this season, if this is any indication.

... to keep me busy.

Starting a new play. Hopefully.

Hitting up Haven tomorrow night with a few folks.

Thinking of taking jewelry commissions again. Lots of new pieces and stuff to play with.

Thursday will probably be (literally) a day in the park.

Time to practice with my new baby.

I give you this.

And of course, I mean "like" in that special way.

EDIT: Fixed the link.

I just bought mac+cheese at the grocery store for no other reason than it was dinosaur-shaped.

Holy shit, Eddie Izzard.

Holy shit, tired.

But --- man. Eddie Izzard puts on one hell of a show.

After months of wanting to look it up and always forgetting, I finally remembered it when I had easy access to Google.

Ladies and gentlemen, evidently you can pierce an 'outie' bellybutton.

Huh.

More actually update-type things to come later.

For those of you who've never seen Extras, it's a British TV show about aspiring actors. It has a lot of great cameos, including this one.

The man is hilarious. Please watch and enjoy.
