My little brother sent me this gem: A guy singing both parts of "A whole new world" from Disney's Aladdin. Yes, both Aladdin and Jasmine. It's more impressive than it seems, and you'll realize why partway through. Due to some doubt, he has been checked out and verified as to not lip-synching. That being said, enjoy. =D

It amused [livejournal.com profile] elenuial and I to no end.

Ok, not as cool as I was hoping. He's got a good falsetto. So do I. (I've been a semi-pro singer in the past) I was hoping he'd switch between them a little more often to give more of the duet feel, especially the parts where one character 'steps on', or interrupts/overlaps the other. Not htat I would actually expect him to sing two notes at the _same time_ (unless it were Tuvan Throat Singing, but that wouldn't fit the song), but he could switch between them more nibly to give the illusion.

Some ventriloquists are _very_ good at this. Some of them can switch so fast you'd swear that it were two people at times. The guy who voices Elmo on Sesame Street is one of them.
