So I was nominated for Alpha Psi Omega again this term. And again, it was a bad experience.
1st time: Sponsor totally forgets and doesn't even remember I need to be told "yes" or "no" until I seek her out and ask. Kept in limbo until then.
2nd time: Sponsor does follow the rules well (they require we meet in person either way), but I was told as I handed in my resume to not even bother and that I didn't have a chance. Nice.
3rd (this) time: Sponsor, who saw me twice over the weekend, says nothing. Voting meeting was Friday. Still no word, and today is Tuesday. We were supposed to be told Sunday at the absolute latest. I think it's safe to assume that it's a "no" if they don't bother to inform you either way.
So, I'm a little frustrated. And I think that if I'm nominated again, I might have to turn it down. All it does is turn into a negative experience for me, and I think three times is more than enough to go through this still thinking it might not be awful.
Isn't it supposed to be a positive thing when you're nominated for an honor society? If so, why has this happened every single time?
