...because Medea hasn't come home today.

Mum let her out at around six this morning, and she's usually back in in an hour or two. Especially in the snow - she hates snow. But Dad and I have been calling her and calling her, with no response. We let Loki out just now, seeing as they tend to come in together and he might be able to bring her back with him.

So we're worried that she got eaten by coyotes. Our neighbor's cat got chased into a tree by a few last month, but judging by the squirrel population, it seems that the coyotes have moved on.

Even still, six hours with not even so much as a yowl from the cat who loves to talk and eat more than anything is worrisome.

I want her back. =/

Medea came back!

...although exhausted and covered in tufts of slightly bloody fur that isn't hers. From the color and texture, we can only conclude that she decided to eat one of those freaking squirrels once and for all, and spent all morning catching the damn thing.

Now she is snoozing proudly, completely unaware of the angst she caused. But we're glad to have her home nonetheless.

Freaking cat.

When I was getting frames in the Christmas Tree Shoppe on Rt2, I walked down one of the wreath aisles looking for holly. Some bouncy music started to play, and a little kid who looked like a tiny Gary Coleman came dancing crazy down the aisle. He was having so much fun, I started dancing with him. So he and I rocked out in the middle of the aisle to a random bubblegum christmas song and then headed our separate ways when the song ended and his mom called. I kept shopping.

Good times.
