Weight loss and general healthiness!
Jul. 3rd, 2007 06:16 pmSo, my daily routine is now:
Running on NordicTrack (alternating between mile and half-mile until I feel confident to do multiple miles daily)
15 arm weights, each side
squats
crunches
leg lifts.
Right now, I'm around 125lbs and 37-29-37. I would LIKE to be at 34 or 35, and we'll say a 27 waist.
And the visual results take time to see. Especially since I'm checking every day. =) I'm impatient.
But the energy boost was instant. I have so much more energy now. I get up earlier, do more things, and am generally more productive. I have three plays and a monologue in the works, one of which has hit the 35-page mark and is only halfway through the story.
Today I also tried
hntrpyanfar's recipes for cold-brewed iced coffee (I used Irish blend) and the honey-wheat bread, with some modifications to make it dad-safe. (Note to Trista: I remembered your reminder about bread baking chem, so I tossed in the dough ASAP. Next time, I think I'll let it sit for a short time, though - it puffed up so much I got mushroom-shaped slices with lines in them from the top hitting the oven rack above it. =/ I thought it was going to crawl out of the pan!)
I really feel amazingly positive about this change in my life. And even after coming back to Worcester, I want to keep running in the mornings (Elm Park is safe in the morning, right?) and maintain my exercise regimen. I can't wait to have the body type to wear the kind of clothes I want to.
One downside to exercising, though - I have to be careful to do exercises that just tone, not build too much muscle. I don't want to look like a Ninja Turtle.
Too bad there are no exercises to make you taller. *sigh*

P.S. I SAW MARK HAMILL ON MAD TV TODAY! Something had my UNDIVIDED ATTENTION for a whole TEN MINUTES while he was onscreen. I thought I could die of giggles.
If you couldn't tell, I've had a huge celebrity crush on him since I was nine. <3
