Second, more educated thoughts?
Jul. 13th, 2007 11:38 amMore weight loss/lifestyle stuff.
I'm keeping the weight off, which is good, and got up at 8:30 this morning, which is better! (my normal morning: 1pm x_x) But right now, I'm not going to look to the scale. I've lost less than ten pounds so far, but the change in my appearance doesn't reflect that. I'm gaining muscle mass (I'm starting to get abs, what?), so poundage isn't really the best way to measure my progress.
Things that make me feel better:
1. Need to buy new underwear. Not just a size smaller, but a different style. My butt shape is changing. =/ I hate underwear shopping.
2. Boobs are getting smaller! Yay! I'm back to a happy C.
3. Some of my clothes no longer fit, and my new ones look amazing. Especially my retro wrap dress.
4. More energy! I know, even more than usual!
5. Any marks (cellulite, stretch) I may have had are lightening, some even disappearing altogether! I WANT TO WEAR THAT PIRATE BIKINI!
6. I can hula hoop 10 minutes straight without dropping the hoop. Clockwise, anyway. Counterclockwise, my record is about half that.
Downside:
1. Have to go underwear shopping. *sigh* I liked most of my underwear.
2. NINJA TURTLE CALVES! Stupid running makes stupid muscles in my stupid calves. I dislike that.
3. My appetite and metabolism have changed. I can't eat the same foods and same amount of food I used to.
4. I'm restless now. I can't sit and watch TV, I have to do something. This makes work on the laptop much more difficult.
Also, I've been practicing my piano more and more, focusing on my weaknesses (full octave spanning) rather than playing to my strengths (changes in tempo) as I often did. So I asked someone online for advice, and was given some great warm-ups and helpful practice pieces: Listen to your Heart (DHT) and Starry Night/Vincent (Don McLean). So far, so good!
Here's hoping I can keep this up. =)
