Okay, so a not-so-fluffy post.

I feel like I'm a kitten playing in laundry fresh out of the dryer right now. It's a wonderful feeling.
Anyway, a few random things that I've wanted to post about:
-- I'm printing out sheet music by the bucketful. My latest project is Metallica's Nothing Else Matters. It's so pretty. That, and someone kindly sent me the music to As Time Goes By from Casablanca. Maybe later; the next one I want to do (since it's so short) is Moon River. It's good exercise.
-- It has come to my attention that several of my new friends have been to Worcester multiple times, but have not yet been shown the wonder that is the Boy/Turtle Love Statue. This must be rectified ASAP. You have not truly been to Worcester until you have seen that statue in all its glory.
-- I want to make a post every week of a few songs that fit my theme. Maybe every two weeks. Themes like "music that makes me want to strip" or "music that shows I'm turning into my parents."
--
elenuial's mother and brother are in Boston and will be coming down tomorrow. Josh (said brother) is looking at schools in the area, so they're visiting for the weekend? Know what that means?
MASSIVE. CLEAN. APARTMENT. OVERHAUL.
So,
gower and
laurion, where should I hide my porn?
-- I have discovered that I prefer to use sweet wine when cooking pasta dishes like scampi and al'olio. If you go just to the cusp of the point where the alcohol is about halfway to the usual burnoff point and let it simmer, it keeps a good sweetness that just makes the ichimi togarashi (I think it literally means "red pepper," but seems tamer) stand out more.
I'm combining japanese and italian cooking styles. Clearly, this is a good idea.
-- The SFS "what the hell is going on" meeting to sort out the club is happening tonight. This might lead to social (and other) explosions, so I'm steering clear.
-- I started a new play. It won't be as long as Bower Birds, but it has a promising premise. It's actually starting to come out a little in the style of Neil Gaiman's Sandman series in terms of subject matter, which is a good thing. I think.
I know I'm forgetting something, but right now, my fingers keep sneaking over to the sheet music. I hear and obey, mis dedos.
