Messing with my iPod

A question for my iPod friends: In the packaging came a little plastic stand with a hole just wide enough for the USB connector. Trouble is, how does it work? No matter how I stand the damn thing up, it topples. Help?

That little piece does you no good by itself. It's an insert you can put into any accessory that has the 'universal dock' to make it the right size/shape for your iPod. This is something apple came up with to make life easier on the accessory makers. They make one size hole, apple provides the spacers.

This is of course, apple's way of apologizing for no longer including a dock with the iPod, like they used to.
