Character sheets
Feb. 20th, 2008 03:56 pmI only have to write out six full-length character sheets for "Oh God, Everybody's Dying!" (the rest are short horde summaries), and the people playing the six angels are going to have one hell of a time (no pun intended).
---
For those who don't know, it's a horde larp based on the concept that Armageddon happened and everyone is, in fact, dead. God rolled up a committee to judge the incoming, and the angels will have to agree on the judgments while the newly dead will have to do their best to get inside the gates.
---
I'm also very much making the characters up as I go along, with very little initial inspiration. They've been more than fleshed out, as I've finished two sheets, but I've found that you can tell more about each character from their "Fellow Arbiters" section than their main one. It's strange - I've actually gotten into the practice of filling in the typical "who you know" part of the sheet as a precursor to writing what should be the more important part. I've discovered that the way they see and describe everyone else on the judging committee tells a lot about personality and thought processes, as well as gives their future players something to laugh at and spin off of.
Writing humor into character sheets? Good times.
As a side note: Does anyone who writes character sheets typically get someone to beta read them?
