Katamari Princess costume part I
Oct. 19th, 2007 02:03 pmSo, I've gotten most of the materials necessary for the costume. I still need the tights and shoes, but I can find those at Macy's or something, I'm sure.
Anyway, I grabbed 3 yards of spring green fabric, 4 yards of purple tulle, 5 yards of big-ass green ribbon, and thread that matched the fabric. And to prove to myself that this wasn't impossible, I set out to make the second-easiest piece: the skirt base.
( How to make a skirt in 20 minutes! )
Next will be the tulle petticoat (I may go buy more tulle) and the Katamari decoration made out of foam. I still haven't decided on a shirt style yet, but I do have more of that huge green ribbon that I want to use, so we'll see. After that will be the "ears" and antenna.
Does anyone else want to be a Katamari cousin with me for Halloween, specifically the Costume Dance Party? The materials cost less than $20, and I can help you make it. In a couple of hours. Not counting shopping time.
