Leaves!

So, after being told that I was working at 6am today, I showed up like a good employee. Lo and behold, no one came to the door to let me in. Pitch black in an empty plaza, with 30 degree weather. Nice.

So, after 20 minutes of banging on the door, ringing the bell, and calling the store, I decided to go home. I left a note, stuck it in the door, and drove off. So, over an hour later, there's still no phone call from work. I think I might just stay up to make [livejournal.com profile] elenuial a bagel before he goes to work, then hop back into bed.

In other unrelated news, I took pictures of nice foliage in the area before the first frost. I love the colors in autumn, and these'll make decent prints, I think.

I took a few at the Scituate Art Festival too, but they didn't come out nearly as bright. Well, maybe one or two.

I should take more tree pictures before total tree-type death.

Silly work.

I love the colors. The trees are one of the reasons I really like living in New England - we get foliage in the fall like nowhere else, even down here in RI.

The foliage is excellent this year. Some combination of late dry weather and sudden temperature shifts are making the trees really burn. I took some shots the other day at lunchtime that I still need to get up, but the trees around the soccer field aren't as ablaze as many I've seen.
