Printing with Linux

So, my EEE runs Linux. I am happy about this, and learning linux slowly.
My problem is printing. Adam has an HP laser p1006, and while it's clearly detected, it will not print. It says that there's a driver, but my printer isn't on the supported list. So what do I do?
And, should that not work, does anyone have a printer I can use on Thursday? I'll supply my own paper, and possibly baked goods in thanks later on!

Date: 2009-03-04 05:50 am (UTC)Try Wine (http://appdb.winehq.org/)? I don't know if it helps for hardware issues, but it's good for many other things if you're not already using it.
