I have no idea about quality or price, but Party411.com has complete kits for "Wild Wild West" and "Retro Romance" prom themes, which seem oddly appropriate.

Depends a lot on whether you're going for ironic or not.
For non-ironic, "Under the Sea" or "Fiesta" (very
Grim Fandango
) feel appropriate.
For ironic -- while 80's has an appeal, I'm not sure one could get more ironic than Necropolis '50s.
