Seriously, folks.

As glad as I am that y'all really enjoyed Leash and saw fit to tell either LJ or myself so, the game would've been utter crap without [livejournal.com profile] elenuial. Why is the praise I'm getting not equally his?

Credit where it's due, ladies and gents. Please.

It's because of your job guns, darling.

More seriously - in the general sense, you're louder and more obvious about things than he is. This means that, in the absence of equally-obvious indicators that he's responsible for at least X% of the work, the person doing most of the talking (in this case, you) will get most of the recognition.

I just had a moment of cognitive dissonance. I don't think I've ever heard/seen/read you use the word darling. Seeing that actually made me sit down and say, 'Huh.'

It should be! (And will be, when I recover from the con and send y'all feedback. :)

As for why it's not being directed at him... [livejournal.com profile] londo's speculations re: visibility strike me as truth.

All emails have come from you.
What he kept saying during game about the GM roles sounded to me like "I can rules-lawyer, but only Haz knows the world and your characters well."
It has been thoroughly branded to me as a HazLarp, made possibly by generous donations from elenuial... so I have responded to it as thus. But yes, I need to give him huge props as well.

THANK YOU ELENUIAL

Much like how a book can (and often is) UTTER CRAP without an editor, but the book is solely branded as the author's work.

I'm certainly not trying to trivialize [livejournal.com profile] elenuial's work on the game, but I'd have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] juldea's assessment of this being branded as a HazLarp feat. [livejournal.com profile] elenuial, as opposed to a work presented by two collaborators.

Hear hear! I had a lovely time during the game and was incredibly thankful for your contributions, but from all I've heard, [livejournal.com profile] elenuial deserves a large chunk of my praise too, as he (from what he indicated) "did most of the heavy lifting" on my and [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb's sheets.

It may just be that you were more incidentally vocal about the game, talking more about it in various online fora, putting your name more forward on casting and other materials, and generally having made some sort of claim to the initial idea, irrespective of the other efforts put in. Much like being the director of a movie, or being first credited on an academic paper, others may have done at least as much work, but sometimes, some names stand out.

P.S., thanks for an awesome game! (That goes to you too [livejournal.com profile] elenuial)
