I just noticed that I have *nothing* going on 10/9, and that's a Saturday. Is there anything else running, or can I go ahead and cement that date?

I'm sure picking a date has proven to be a very trying experience... I just wanted to say my schedule is very fickle, but if there's any chance I can make whatever day you choose, I'll be there. ^_^
