High points of my day:
- No customers at work today, meaning I spent the morning playing with the world's prettiest Bettas and a 4-pack of 8-week-old kittens in our adoption center.
- Finally, the store got in the cat toys I wanted to buy for Elsa that've been out of stock for over a month: tiny tennis balls with rolly bells in them.
- Left work early to get to auto repair for signal bulb and front tire. This is awesome in a few ways: the dog who patrolled the lobby jumped on the couch to be in my lap, I got some ATC billing done, the valve was leaking and not the tire, and all three (!! Stupid oil change place!) bulbs that were out they had in stock. Total time spent at garage: 1.5hrs. Total charge: $42. Awesome people, awesome place, happy car.
- Since I was super early, had time to dart by the store to get a high-sided litterbox (so that Elsa can't pee half-in, half-out anymore) and found two other things I'd been meaning to pick up for weeks, one of which I wasn't sure existed.
- I'm in love.
- Still early! No rush hour traffic!
- Found a parking spot on the street!
-Came home to Josh's band rehearsing in the living room. Coherent for a while, until one person played the can-can on the accordion, the violinist started playing something totally unrelated on his own, and Josh was so horrified that he started playing something ALSO completely random. Frustrated by the three random songs and everyone laughing so hard, Elsa started singing/bark-howling along so that there was so much noise in our living room I broke.
- The tiny hairclips I wasn't sure existed do exist, and I bought them on the aforementioned trip. Tiny enough to stitch bows onto and put in Elsa's fur. Tiny blue bow-flowers with rhinestones in the center. Adorable.
- Inspiration! struck while grocery shopping, leading to what could possibly be the best dinner ever in an hour or so. I feel more confident experimenting with food when the rest of the day has been a success.
That's what I remember for now, but I'm hoping to see
elenuial happy when he comes home and make out with him.
The end.
