May. 10th, 2011 07:26 pmWedding is over. Was awesome.
elenuial interviewing for a job in waltham. Should it work out, we will be looking for living arrangements in waltham/camberville area. Places to check out? Avoid?
Still no word from JET program, though housing/jobs not an immediate concern.

Date: 2011-05-11 11:45 am (UTC)There's a complex up at 1105 Lexington St in Waltham. Its name escapes me, but it's got this chronic roach infestation. Don't go there.
A significant SFS community has established itself in Gardencrest Apartments. It's about a mile away from the Waltham transit center and is, all in all, a good place to live.

Date: 2011-05-11 02:40 pm (UTC)I think the complex mentioned above might be the Windsor Village. Generally the complexes will cost more, but what you get is a little more consistent and predictable.
The closer to Brandeis, obviously, the more college-ey the housing gets. North of main street is nicer, but trickier. Too far east of Moody and you get into some of the run down areas.
Also look at Watertown. Next town over, but more of a bedroom community (residential town), so the offerings might be a little nicer. A bit closer to Boston, a bit more bus line options. I spent a handful of years there happily.
