1. How did you get into the whole acting/drama scene?
Er, I was a techie in high school. And the only time I ever went out on stage was during the final show of Manhattan at the Bay for senior techie prank my senior year. And I was a dancer in "the twist," and it was fun because I wasn't supposed to be doing it. Other than that, I hated to be called upon in class to come up and act out whatever we were reading. But then at WPI, when I got into LNL, they introduced me to Masque, and D term of my freshman year, New Voices, they pushed me to audition. So I did, and got a semi-major role in one of the plays. It wasn't too bad, so I decided to give it another shot. B term, I was cast in In Bad Taste, as a secondary role - one of the antagonists - but still rather big. And I got such an overwhelmingly positive feedback, especially since I was a villain character, tht I thought I was okay. And then C-term they announced that they were putting on my favorite Shakespeare: Much Ado, and I had to go for it. And voila! I got the lead. And that was the happiest term of my life. I loved being Beatrice, and I felt loved as Beatrice. I had so many people come up to me and tell me that I was the truest Beatrice they'd ever seen - and these were people who could quote my lines! - which made me feel like I could really do something. And from then on, it was major roles. Fun ones. I like comical roles, like Lois. =) But I'm not doing the B-term show, Our Town, because I hate it. Maybe I'll usher.
2. When/how did you decide to start getting into (being the subject of) photography?
In high school, I dated an art student who had tons of (der) art school friends, and I modeled for them a few times for projects and the like. Paintings, photographs for ad campaigns (nothing racy then because I was still 17, and the closest I could do were artistic nudes), and a set or two of boudoir shots that a mutual friend took. Then earlier last year, I met Matt, who impressed me immensely. And when we did out first shoot just to get to know one another, we kinda hit it off. The whole thing was just so relaxed, and I felt so at ease.
One of the things I want to do is a set of "pinup girl" style shots, like the old "If I was a man, I'd join the Navy!" posters. xD
And I'll never post the hot shots on facebook or photobucket - you guys get to see the tame ones.
3. So how many Katamari Cousins did you wind up making anyway? =P
Only a handful. I'll still do them on request, though.
I really get good vibes from you. You always seemed like a good person, and a good balance of social and gamer, and you were the kind of casual gamer who let me sit and watch sometimes "help" when you were embarking on a new project. Like the "Brad likes Buttsex" chocobos. I mean, you're one of the SFS group I could really hang out with. Even through troubles the apartment had as roommates, I never saw you do anything with remotely bad intent - or aggression. That says a lot, though the aggression could be kicked up a notch.
However, it pissed me off at times to see you let yourself get walked all over and treated like shit. You put up with a lot, man, and sometimes, I thought you were spineless. You just always seemed to be in a heap of trouble with SOMEONE or another, and I always got the feeling that it wasn't your fault, but rather your air of "possible scapegoat/emotional dumping ground." Not so much lately, though - it could be because I haven't seen you as much, but I'm hoping that it's because you've become more assertive. If so, kudos. If not - don't ever let anyone scream at you or treat you like vermin. No shuffling around and saying "maybe I brought this on myself" or "I guess I deserve it" or any of that passive bull. You're too good for that, and I hope you realize that.
