A new short project.
Apr. 30th, 2007 02:06 amOkay, so I got bit by the Memebug. Except this one is substantial and introspective - or it can be, depending on how you run with it. I came across this when a friend said that she was doing it, and I thought: "What the hell? Why not?"
Day 1: Answer the Questions!
Allow anonymous, screened comments and open the floor to questions that you will answer with complete honesty. The questions can be about anything, and must be answered.
Day 2: Five Awkward Truths
Post five things about yourself that few (or no!) people know about. They can be things that you consider dirty little secrets, odd mannerisms, or funny habits that embarrass you. Get them out in the open.
Day 3: Two Truths and a Lie
Write down fifteen things about yourself. There is a catch, though: For every two true statements, one is a lie. For example: "I had a male dog named Stacey as a child (T)," "My favorite color is pink, and I'm a guy (T)," and "I used to play poker for Barbie heads (F)." Mix it up; they don't have to be in a TTF pattern. Or any pattern at all. See if anyone can guess the false ones!
Day 4: Confrontations, confrontations!
Write down a list of five things that you're uncomfortable talking about or facing (ex. your family, your fear of flying, etc.) and then pick one to go into greater depth with. Maybe you'll be inspired to post about the rest after all is said and done.
Day 5: Honesty from Others
Same conditions as Day 1, except this time, open the floor to other people's honesty. Anyone can post confessions, statements, things they've always wanted to say to you, or even something as simple as "Hi!" Go to town.
I'm doing it M-F, so it's a weeklong meme, if you will. And I highly encourage anyone else to try it too. It might turn out to be cathartic. That being said...

So that's the deal. I'm allowing anonymous commenting and screening 100%. If you have anything, anything at all you want to ask me, about anything, go right ahead. And I'll answer completely truthfully.
And looking at that list, Tuesday's going to be verrrrry interesting.
Off we go.

EDIT: Okay, sorry about that. Turned off IP logging for anonymous commenters. Thanks for pointing that one out.
