We would have loved nothing more than to invite every single person that we know, but unfortunately, we had to make some cuts. Not all of them were ideal, but in some cases it boiled down to who we see more frequently.

If someone wanted to be a part of our wedding day and wasn't, we apologize, but there was just no way to get everything and everyone. Most likely, we wanted you there as well. It was not a value judgment, it was a difficult game of numbers and critical decisions. We even dropped the ball on a few people simply because we were overwhelmed and failed to quadruple check the final mailing lists.

If someone is my friend, they can be honest with me and tell me that they wished they could have been there and offer their congratulations from afar.

No slight was intended to anyone (well, maybe a couple distant family members), and I am sorry if we weren't able to get everyone there. If this person wants to know why they didn't make the cut, they can ask and I'll be completely honest with them.

To my mind, it wasn't the guest list that was the hardest decision to make, it was picking groomsmen. Tell me that's not a can of worms.
