I took like 150 pictures, but I just put a chunk up there. If you want bigger versions/wonder if I have a shot of something, feel free to comment or email at hazharrower AT gmail.com.

I'll let Shaughn and Nuance give a more detailed account, but in short:

- Good time to be had. Now have a blister the size of Texas from dancing. Was worth it.

- Whoever gets married next ([livejournal.com profile] qedrakmar, I think you were volunteered) is getting a zombie wedding.

- Fitchburg and alpaca is always a good Plan B.

- FFVII victory music is very appropriate at wedding ceremonies. As is the Imperial March. (Happy 30 years!)

More later.

EDIT: Anyone else take pictures/know what's up with the wedding photographer? I'd really love to see some more pictures. =)

Yay, pictures! See any you like on flickr? =)

And I screened it in case it hurt or made you guys feel guilty or some such thing - I thought that it would be in bad taste to leave it up. I'm giving the commenter benefit of the doubt, seeing as they might not have known that both you and Shaughn read my LJ. =/ I don't think they would do something crass like that on purpose.

We would have loved nothing more than to invite every single person that we know, but unfortunately, we had to make some cuts. Not all of them were ideal, but in some cases it boiled down to who we see more frequently.

If someone wanted to be a part of our wedding day and wasn't, we apologize, but there was just no way to get everything and everyone. Most likely, we wanted you there as well. It was not a value judgment, it was a difficult game of numbers and critical decisions. We even dropped the ball on a few people simply because we were overwhelmed and failed to quadruple check the final mailing lists.

If someone is my friend, they can be honest with me and tell me that they wished they could have been there and offer their congratulations from afar.

No slight was intended to anyone (well, maybe a couple distant family members), and I am sorry if we weren't able to get everyone there. If this person wants to know why they didn't make the cut, they can ask and I'll be completely honest with them.

To my mind, it wasn't the guest list that was the hardest decision to make, it was picking groomsmen. Tell me that's not a can of worms.

That's why I kinda want to forego a wedding court if I ever get married. Plus, the original point was to have the power of virgin bridesmaids to ward off the devil - and all my candidates like sex too much. xD

Wedding Court lottery. It's the only way to go. Or some kind of most-extreme-elimination challenge!

After seeing my comment about not wanting a bridal party, [livejournal.com profile] elenuial told me that he's having groomspeople. And that my idea of having a backyard-barbecue type thing was a little lacking, compared to his planning of an enormous, grandiose wedding. =D

Also, my pirate ship wedding idea has been rejected. He did say that it would be an option if we had it Pirates 3 style: while swordfighting in a windy vortex of the undead.

*sigh*

I hope my comment wasn't taken as offense. It was just a reflection that the event looked beautiful and that I wished I could be there, not that you "should" have invited me, by any means.

And I did congratulate you, remember? :)

I never saw the congratulations, I just saw "Screened: Don't want to offend anyone."

So I tried to make a generalized statement about my position and feelings regarding those who did not make it onto our final list.

Oh, no no no. I wasn't . . .

*sighsmile*

I was mentioning my having congratulated you over AIM recently to note that the person who seemed to have caused the screened comment -- me -- actually had been congratulatory, though you hadn't yet realized that I was that person. I wasn't saying that I'd been congratulatory in that post, or that you had known until just then that the post was by me.
