Talked with Adam.
He was upset when I told him how miffed I was, mostly because he felt like he was just doing a good thing. But I pointed out how it's a bad thing to go ahead and volunteer us and the apartment for something I had no say in. He also said that he called me once and I didn't pick up, so he assumed that I was asleep and went ahead and said yes. The phone was charging and I didn't hear it.
Anyway, I told him that I'd prefer it if he played it safe from now on. If he doesn't know my feelings on the subject, I'd like his default answer to be "No, I have to OK it with someone else first. I'll get back to you."
Or something like that.
Then, to apologize for making such a big fuss, I made him a big dinner while he was gaming, and it was ready just in time when he got back. Comfort food, mostly. Cheesy garlic mashed potatoes, sweet buttery corn, and breaded and fried popcorn shrimp with lemon juice to dip it in. We ate while watching "Rage of the Masters," a really bad kung fu movie I picked up at the dollar store for shits and giggles. The best part of it was the dubbing, I must say. And the ninja old lady. But other than that, stereotypical kung fu flick.
I don't know, was I out of line on the whole "random person spending a week" thing? I keep feeling bad about being upset.

Date: 2006-06-15 04:18 pm (UTC)I personally would be pissed if Shaun did that to me. I can handle a random person for one night...but a whole week without consent is ridiculus.
